"A naturalist at heart, I am always inspired to paint my love of life. Everything about the natural world is precious to me: The color of a fragrant flower, a misty rain on a forest trail, the expression on a thoughtful face, … My goal is to express the feeling at hand which enables me to convey to the viewer the appreciation I feel for this wonderful world we live in."
Diane M Fedyna
Drawing was an important part of Dianes' formative years. At the age of 7, (unknown to her mom and dad!) she would create a stack of sketches and off she would go house to house, selling her works of art. It was here that her career began forming without knowing that the future would find her paintings in countless private and corporate collections. Informal study with Richard Schmid and other respected artists at The Palette and Chisel Academy of Art and The American Academy of Art (both in Chicago) as well as numerous classes and workshops in various locations nation wide, prepared her for an exciting career in art. She says "Painting from life is an intriguing infinite learning experience. Each canvas is a new and exciting experience: an adventure, an education unto itself, and a joy that only creating can bring to the human realm."
